Download the new Need For Speed Auto-Patcher. This application will allow you to automatically update your copy of NFS3 PC with new functionality and features while connected to the Internet.
Instructions for using the Auto Patcher application:
Connect to the Internet.
Download and run the npspatchnfs3.exe file. This will automatically setup the Auto-Patcher application for your copy of Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit.
In Windows 95/98, go to Start > Programs > Electronic Arts> Need for Speed III and select Need for Speed III Auto-Patcher.
The Need for Speed Update Check will automatically connect to the EA update server and download the most current update, if needed. If you already have the most current version of the update, the application will know this and no download will be necessary.

To download a car you must first have NFS III PC installed on your computer. Select a car to download from the drop down box below. Choose ""Download Car"" to download the car into the game. A car installation file will be downloaded to your computer. (If you choose to save to disk, be sure to note the name and location of the file.) Run the car installation file (.exe) to automatically install the car into the game.
After downloading the car, choose ""Download Showcase"" if you wish to also download images and information about the car.
The Jaguar XKR uses the same 4.0-litre V-8 as the XK8, but a supercharger boosts horsepower to 370, enough pep to zip the car to 100 km/h in 5.4-seconds (zero to 60 mph in 5.2-secs). Top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph) or the XKR would likely record an even higher figure.
